Greetings, friends... it has been a while since my last journal entry! I am afraid that (as many people seemingly noticed) up until quite recently I'd been absent from deviantART for a good while... regrettably, many real-life issues and health problems, both my own and within the family, simply made it difficult for me to keep up with things around here, so I had to put my fanart and consequently online socializing on the backburner for a little while. I will say I'm truly sorry if I managed to worry anyone with my absence as I would never intend for such a thing; as life has similarly pulled me away before on more than one occasion I suppose I didn't feel people would think anything of my disappearing for a bit, but it does appear I was mistaken there. However and again, my apologies if that was the case for anyone!
The past two months have been quite busy for me, and something of a whirlwind. I made the absolute last-minute decision to attend EQLA last month on a whim for one (my very first pony convention), and there had the utterly fantastic experience of meeting so many people face to face at last, both new friends and old... AquaticSun, LateCustomer, JoRoBro, yeendip, DarkFlame75, Tsitra360, FrogAndCog, NCMares, ponywise and so many others, as well as the eternally lovely Bernd01 who I will fully credit for making the whole experience happen for me in the first place (and to whom I shall be eternally grateful as a result
). Thanks to the incredible experience I've come to the understanding I would love to attend as well as possibly vend at other conventions in the future also, and at the very least have every intention to be at the upcoming Pacific PonyCon in San Diego next January, for anyone who may have heard of it and might be making plans around that event as well. Expect further information and announcements on this subject to be forthcoming!
What all of these things mean for my artwork is that I've been recently energized, spurred on, and at last have both the time and means to return to creating fanart, some of which of course I've managed to share here already since returning, and with much more to come going forward. This also concerns my blog Rarijack-Daily as I understand many people have expressed interest in its continuation, which I am happy to say that I do plan to return to at some point in the future when I feel I can handle the commitment again, and in the meantime I will resume uploading older entries here on deviantART as I'm able to. I have to thank everyone sincerely for all of the ongoing interest and support of both this project and of all of my work; it means everything!
Last but not least at this time, I have recently made a Twitter account since coming back from the convention, and if anyone cares to find me there you can do so at my handle diamond_dusted. Much love friends!

Interview with the Cutie Art Crusaders

Good evening/morning/afternoon as it may be, everyone.
As many of you are aware, a little over a month ago I launched a Tumblr art blog, Rarijack-Daily which (as the name implies) is updated daily with what are for the most part simple, sweet and/or silly cartoon doodles of my favorite pair of ponies, as I decided I wanted to do something fun to stay more involved with the fandom and they have never ceased to inspire me. Since launching the blog I have received numerous questions and comments on multiple sites expressing interest in seeing these artworks uploaded here to my deviantART account as well, but given the nature of my blog, with the fact that the updates come daily and as a result there is a very large volume of artwork (among other reasons) I've elected to poll my watcher base first before deciding whether or not this is something I should consider doing.
Personally, I'm a little conflicted on the matter myself; on the one hand posting the artworks here as well would make them apparently more accessible for many people and allow me to comment a little bit more on the entries myself, but on the other hand I fear it would be a bit redundant, especially for people who follow my work on both sites and also, again the sheer volume of work that exists is a lot to be posting here on a regular basis, perhaps too much by the standards of some. I will say however that in the instance I did decide to post the artworks here it would likely be in batches once a week or so, to perhaps make it easier for people to go through/avoid if they prefer/etc.
I've elected to post this question in the form of a journal as opposed to a poll because I really would like to hear what people have to say about this matter and make sure that I take all feedback into consideration. I am moving house and as such will be unavailable this weekend but for those whom it concerns please do let me know what you all think and I'll do my best to make the right decision when I return! Commissions Currently Closed

As some of you may or may not have noticed, my online presence over the past several months has, regrettably, been punctuated by frequent periods of inactivity, and while I am still very much an enthusiastic pony fan in my spare time and have never had (nor do I have) any intention of quitting with fanart, I'm afraid that my very busy life and work schedule has not left me with as much time for participation lately as I would wish for. As such commissions are something that have really been out of the question for me for a long time now (as are requests, which I would think should go without saying but I digress there..), I've simply neglected to announce as much formerly, a regrettable oversight I'd like to rectify now in light of numerous inquiries in my backlog of messages.
So yes, in other words and far more succinctly this journal is mostly for the purposes of making such a thing clear for people on my front page for the current time, until the time when things may change for me, and hopefully that might be the case soon. When and if I am able to reopen commissions I will be sure to make a formal announcement stating as much. To those whom it may concern I appreciate your inquiries and interest in my work... it means a great deal.

Return From Inadvertent Hiatus. Again.

Good morning (or afternoon, or evening as well), everyone... it's been a while I'm afraid. After an unplanned absence of several months from deviantART and the internet in general, really, I am at last in a place where I am able to return to the pony fandom and creating fanart once again. And I'm very happy for that fact! I must apologize sincerely to everyone for disappearing as I did with no warning, and for such a length of time but unfortunately, due to some significant life changes and starting a second job, as well as some recurring health issues I simply have not had much (or any) free time at my disposal in recent months for much of anything. For these same reasons it is also unlikely that, for the foreseeable future at least I will have the time or ability to be as active around here as I used to be and with responding to comments and such, but still I will do my best to post new artwork whenever I am able, and also I can assure all whom it may concern that I will do my best to get through as many important messages as I can, as soon as I can manage it... I realize that I owe quite a few people responses to notes and inquiries and the like at this point.
In the meantime, however, it is simply lovely to be back here again. I am looking forward to sharing some new artwork and such with you all again very soon~!
